He's baaa-aaack. Our problem child has returned and unfortunately our blinds are taking the brunt of his frustration. I came home to this last week. We believe Suds is suffering from separation anxiety so now we're trying to dog whisper him. I'll keep you posted on our progress.

What have yahs Wednesday
1. To me, there's no better way to start the day than with a yummy bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. It's become my go-to breakfast during the work week so naturally I had to buy it in bulk during our trip to Costco this weekend. Yipes!
2. Josh and I have been taking in a lot of Winter Olympics action and I have to say that Evan Lysacek definitely has the tall, dark and handsome thing covered.

3.I spotted Michelob Ultra's line of fruit flavored beer and I'm intrigued. Not intrigued enough to actually purchase it, but definitely curious enough to steal a sip from someone else that is intrigued enough to buy it.

Take a test
Someone snatched up the books on my reading list at the library so instead I picked up "Blink", another Gladwell gem. The book suggested this web site and like the nerd that I am, I logged onto the interweb and checked it out. Try one of these Implicit Association Tests from Harvard. Note: they aren't light-hearted tests but the info is interesting.

In fair Verona

I watched "Romeo+Juliet", the 90s version, last week. It was just as good as I remember and it made me want to slip on a pair of Airwalks, baggy carpenter jeans and an oversized sweatshirt while listening to Everclear.
What a star studded cast! Not only does the movie boast the likes of Leo Dicaprio, Claire Danes, Paul Rudd and John Leguizamo but Mr. Swimfan himself, Jesse Bradford, plays one of Romeo's cohorts. Wow, wow, wow.

ENOUGH!!!!!
I hate winter now! Snow is great until January. As we get another 5 inches of snow today, the memories of hot summer days on a patio seem so distant that I can just faintly recall the feel of the warm sun on my face. I bought a pair of cheap boots from target that I could wear while shoveling and snow blowing. I quickly learned that 20$ work boots have negative traction and was rendered helpless in the middle of my steep driveway a week ago. My snow blower sucks and is almost more work than shoveling most of the time. I need spring to be here. I can't take the negative affect the frigid temps and wintry weather are having on my normally sunny disposition! I have come to the conclusion that the standard response that most Iowans give when asked if they would live in Florida or California of "I think I would miss the seasons" is a bunch of CRAP! This "I would miss the seasons" or "no snow on Christmas" line is just a stupid lie that us Iowans have tricked ourselves into believing. Well I am not fooled anymore! Well...not until summer or Christmas rolls around again.

What have yahs Wednesday
1. I'm out of books to read. I finished "The Tipping Point" and thought it was pretty good. It was one of those books that I would put down and then talk to Josh about what I just read. He's reading it right now. It's like we're in our own little book club, isn't that cute? I most recently finished "Wicked" and enjoyed it. Now I'm torn between which book to start, "Son of a Witch" or "Outliers"?

2. I know that everyone's probably pretty sick of the Single Ladies song by Beyonce, but I really wish she would've performed that at the Grammys instead of the little "If I were a Boy"/"You Oughta Know" remix. I just wasn't into the crazy hairography but I guess she's committed to the part.

3. I was just complaining to Josh that no one runs "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" reruns anymore and then yesterday morning, my syndication gods were smiling down on me--I happened to flip to MTV and they are running episodes at 8 a.m. This will go perfectly with my 7 a.m. Saved by the Bell showing.

Sing along
Libby was baptized this weekend and after the washing away of original sin, we went to the Pauley's house for pizza, karaoke and Catchphrase. Andrew and Josh thought it would be a good idea to sing a soothing tune once some of the babies in the family started to nod off.
So they chose "Creep" by Radiohead.
